Enabling Two Factor Authentication
Two factor authentication, or 2FA for short, gives an extra layer of security to your account, requiring you to enter a code as well as your password when you log on. This is a proven security enhancement as attackers must now have access to the device you have marked as trusted.
This article will go over how to enable 2 factor authentication as well as the various other features associated with it.

Enabling 2 Factor Authentication

To enable it go to https://lineupsvalorant.com/account and click enable two factor authentication, follow the steps it gives including installing an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, an external application used to generate codes which expire after 30 seconds for accessing your account. You can download it from the App Store here, from the Play Store here, add it as a browser extension like this one for Chrome or download an app such as WinAuth (download instructions here). To set up Google Authenticator click the plus icon and scan the QR code.

Backup Codes

In case you lose access to your trusted device we strongly recommend downloading backup codes, these are single use codes used to regain access to your account so keep them in a secure but accessible place. To do this press ‘view backup codes’ on the account page and enter your details. You can then download them by pressing the ‘Download Backup Codes’ button, you can also regenerate them at any time by clicking ‘Regenerate codes’
